IBC has, in anticipation of such a shortage/crisis, carried out R&D work for several years which has resulted in the construction of a first-of-its- kind Baryte Beneficiation Plant in the name of Andhra Barytes Corporation Pvt. Ltd (ABCPL) in joint venture with Andhra Pradesh Mineral Development Corporation (APMDC) who have been allotted 11% free equity in ABCPL. This plant is capable of manufacturing or beneficiating 300,000 MT per annum. The plant has been set up with an investment of Rs. 30 Crores.
